Dallas teenager arrested, charged with capital murder in shooting death of Fort Worth man

An 18-year-old man from Dallas has been arrested and charged with Capital Murder in the shooting death of a 36-year-old man at a Fort Worth apartment building last November.

On November 22nd, the Fort Worth Police Department received word of an open apartment unit in the 4000 block of Pin Oak Terrace. Officers went inside the apartment unit and located a man on the couch shot multiple times. MedStar arrived and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office says the victim died from multiple gunshot wounds.

The FWPD Homicide Unit was contacted and started an investigation into the man’s death. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the victim’s vehicle had been taken from the location. The vehicle was located the day prior, on Thursday, abandoned in Dallas. This expanded the investigation into Dallas.

Investigators pursued many leads, eventually leading them to issue an arrest warrant for the suspect. The 18-year-old was located and arrested yesterday on January 8. He has been booked into the Tarrant County jail and charged with Capital Murder.
