Two shot, including child, in drive-by shooting at Arlington home

At around 2:50am this morning, Arlington police officers responded to a home in the 1000 block of Tennessee Trail to investigate reports of a drive-by shooting.

When officers arrived at the home, they found a 19-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds in one of the bedrooms. He was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.

They also found a 5-year-old girl who had been shot in the hand. She was transported to an area hospital as well. Her injuries are non-life threatening.

Police believe a 20-year-old man inside the home may have also been grazed by a bullet, but he declined transport and was treated and released at the scene. Two additional people inside the house at the time were not injured.

Officers located multiple shell casings outside the home and multiple bullet holes in the front window and wall of the house. At this time, we do not any have suspect information. The people in the house told officers they did not know who or why someone would shoot at their home.

Investigators are now canvassing the neighborhood looking for any surveillance cameras that may have caught something or witnesses who have any additional information.
