UPDATE: 3 killed, including shooter, in shooting at Birdville ISD parking lot

Haltom City Police were dispatched just before 4:30 PM to the 6100 block of East Belknap, in the stadium parking lot, following reports of a shooting. Officers determined that three individuals had been shot.

One of the individuals, believed to be the shooter, was located outside of a vehicle, while the other two victims were found inside the car.

A female victim was transported to a local hospital but later pronounced deceased. The second female victim in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Medics attended to the shooter, but he was also pronounced deceased a short time later.

This is believed to be an isolated incident and the area is secured.

“We do not have reason to believe that the incident was related to Birdville Independent School District,” said HCPD.

Man found shot in east Arlington convenience store parking lot dies at hospital

The Arlington Police Department is investigating an overnight shooting that resulted in the death of a 20-year-old man.

On Thursday, March 26, 2026, at approximately 1:24 a.m., officers responded to a reported shooting in a convenience store parking lot in the 2100 block of E. Abram Street. Upon arrival, officers located the victim unresponsive on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives are actively conducting follow-up investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting. No arrests have been made at this time. Detectives are also examining whether the incident may be connected to high-risk activity, though the circumstances remain under investigation.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased.

UPDATE: Driver shoots motorcyclist in leg along I30 in Arlington

At around 9:15pm Saturday, officers were driving in the eastbound lanes of I-30 near Ballpark Way when they noticed a motorcycle on the shoulder and a man on the ground who appeared to be in distress. The officers stopped to help the man and discovered he had been shot in the leg.

Officers provided first aid until paramedics arrived. The man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

He told officers he had been riding his motorcycle eastbound along I-30 when traffic started to slow ahead of him, prompting him to slow down. He said the driver behind him started tailgating him and flashing their lights at him. A short time later, the driver got over a lane and pulled up next to him. The man said that’s when the driver displayed a gun and fired a shot, striking him in the leg.

The man then got over to the shoulder while the suspect vehicle continued traveling eastbound. 

At this time, no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing. 

Motorcyclist killed in crash on the Dallas North Tollway

On Saturday evening at around 7pm, Dallas Fire Rescue and DPS Troopers responded to the scene of a major accident involving a motorcycle on southbound Dallas North Tollway near Mockingbird Lane.

Authorities say traffic had slowed on the tollway when a motorcyclist failed to control their speed and collided with multiple vehicles. 

The motorcyclist was ejected and pronounced deceased on scene.

The crash is under investigation. 

UPDATE: Motorcyclist critically hurt in Fort Worth hit-and-run crash

At around 9:21pm, Fort Worth Fire/EMS and Police responded to a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle on westbound I30 near Camp Bowie Blvd.

Upon arrival, emergency responders located a motorcyclist down in the roadway with life-threatening injuries. Medical bystanders performed CPR before FWFD’s arrival. Paramedics transported the motorcyclist to a trauma center in critical condition.

Police say the driver involved fled the scene after the crash. Officers located the suspect vehicle a short time later, but the driver had fled.

The crash remains under investigation.

Woman stabs boyfriend in self defense during argument at Arlington apartment, police say

At around 12:30am, officers responded to an apartment complex in the 4900 block of Silber Road to investigate a reported stabbing. 

A woman had called 911 to report that her boyfriend assaulted her and that she stabbed him in defense.

When officers arrived on scene, they located both individuals. Both had significant injuries and were transported to area hospitals. 

The woman told officers she and her boyfriend, a 33-year-old man, got into argument, during which he began physically assaulting her. During the struggle, she said she grabbed a knife that was laying nearby and used it to defend herself.

He remains hospitalized. Once he is medically cleared, he will be booked into the Arlington City Jail on one count of Assault Family Violence Impede Breath and one count of Assault Family Violence with Previous Conviction. He also had an active warrant out of Tarrant County for Assault Family Violence with Previous Conviction. 

At this time, the woman has not been charged with anything.

Motorcyclist killed in Dallas crash

Dallas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motorcycle accident after midnight last night, located in the area of I35E and 635.

Authorities say a motorcyclist went off the road and struck a pole. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Lanes of northbound I35E were closed while DSO investigated the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

UPDATE: Golf cart driver dies in Denton County crash

On March 14, 2026, at approximately 10:00 PM, the Aubrey Police Department, along with the Aubrey Fire Department, responded to a single vehicle crash involving a golf cart.

The initial investigation determined a golf cart, being operated by a sole occupant, was traveling westbound on the sidewalk on Frontier Parkway and turned southbound on the sidewalk on McNatt Road, almost striking a pedestrian.

The pedestrian witness reported calling 911 to report the reckless driver and moments later observed the golf cart crashed, with the driver being ejected.

The driver was found lying on the sidewalk suffering from a head wound. Aubrey Officers and Fire Department Medics attempted life saving measures on scene prior to the driver being transported to Medical Center Denton.

Unfortunately, the golf cart driver succumbed to his injuries prior to arrival at the hospital.

Preliminary investigation determined alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

Four people killed in head-on crash in Cooke County

On March 14, 2026, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Highway Patrol Division responded to a two-vehicle crash on FM-51 near County Road 383 in Cooke County.

A preliminary investigation indicated that an SUV was traveling southbound on FM-51 when the driver passed in a No-Passing Zone and collided head-on with a northbound SUV. The northbound SUV caught fire. 

The driver of the southbound SUV was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver and two passengers of the northbound SUV were pronounced deceased at the scene. One passenger was airlifted to Cook Children’s Hospital by CareFlite.

This investigation is ongoing.

Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash, Lewisville police say

On Saturday morning, Lewisville Police and Fire/EMS responded to an unconscious person along the northbound I35E frontage road near the Sam Rayburn Tollway.

Upon initial investigation, Lewisville police say a pedestrian was walking on the frontage road and fatally struck by a vehicle. The driver fled the scene.

Lanes of the frontage road were closed for several hours while LPD investigated the scene. The accident remains under investigation.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.
