Fort Worth PD north side officers are investigating a shooting in the 2500 block of Grover Ave. MedStar has ground transported a gunshot victim to Harris, reported gunshot wound to the leg. Serious injuries.

Benbrook FD and PD are on scene of a house fire in the 6500 block of Lago Vista Drive. Fire thru the roof of a house. Fort Worth FD is also on scene. Avoid this area.
Lewisville FD has launched PHI air medical to the scene of an accident with entrapment on southbound I35E just before Valley Ridge. Landing zone for the helicopter will be near the accident scene.
Update – Extended extrication complete. PHI Med 10 has landed at Lewisville High. Lewisville EMS about to transport from accident to landing zone.
Update – PHI Med 10 airlifting to Medical Center of Plano.
Battalion 5, Quint 26, Engine 26 on scene with fire and smoke showing from a house in the 6900 block of Trial Lake Drive. Engine 36, Engine 39, Engine 29, Safety 1, Utility 6, and others are also working the fire.
Dallas Fire Rescue is on scene of a possible fire in the medical district at 6000 Harry Hines Blvd. Reported as an oven on fire in a laboratory. Smoke on one of the floors. Expect heavy fire rescue response.
Battalion 1 is on scene with a lot of fire showing from an unknown type structure in the 3700 block of Vilbig Road.
Battalion 2, Engine 12 on scene of a reported house struck by lightning in the 3500 block of Canoncita Lane. Investigating reports of smoke inside the house. Reported hole in the roof.

Affected areas: far north portions of Ellis County and far south portions of Dallas county. Cities of Glenn Heights, Ovilla, and Waxahachie all report damage.
Damage: 101 structures damaged, 50% destroyed or major damage. 17 square miles damaged.

Volunteers: Non-profits, churches and organizations wanting to assist tornado victims should contact Red Cross.
Affected areas: eastern Dallas County. Cities of Sunnyvale, Garland, and Rowlett.
Damage: Widespread. Hundreds of structures damaged or completely destroyed.
Shelter: Gale Fields Recreation Center in Garland, Steadham Elementary at 6200 Dandridge in Rowlett.
Volunteers: Need for volunteers is still being assessed.
Affected areas: east and northeast Collin County. Cities of Farmersville, Nevada, and Copeville.
