Dallas firefighters rescue woman trapped in crash along Loop 12

At around 4:30AM this morning, multiple Dallas Fire-Rescue and Police personnel were called to the scene of a major accident along northbound Loop 12 near I30. Upon arrival, it was determined that one occupant was trapped in the vehicle and in need of rescue.

A ‘Heavy Rescue’ response was requested to the scene, which includes Dallas Fire Rescue’s USAR team (Urban Search & Rescue).

Battalion 6, Engine 26, Engine 50, Truck 33, USAR 33, Engine 33, and Rescue 50 all responded to the scene along with DPD.

The woman was extricated from the crash and at last report was taken by ground ambulance to the hospital, condition undisclosed.

UPDATE: Good Samaritan killed in crash on I30 in Dallas

The Dallas County Sheriffs Office has released an update regarding the major crash on I30 earlier today.

Sheriffs deputies and DFR personnel responded to a major accident along westbound I30 near Hampton Road at around 12:30PM.

A preliminary investigation of the scene reveals a white SUV had become disabled in the left lane. An 18-wheeler pulled over to assist the motorist. As the 18-wheeler driver was assisting the stranded motorist, a vehicle crashed into the back of the white SUV which struck the Good Samaritan.

The victim was transported to the hospital, but declared deceased at 1:12pm. He has been identified as a 42-year-old male.

No information on any charges related to this accident.

Two dead in apparent murder-suicide in Arlington

The Arlington Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of two deceased gunshot victims inside a south Arlington house.

Around 2:30AM, officers were called to a house in the 2300 block of Livermore Drive near the Arlington Fire Station #9 regarding a deceased person. Officers obtained a search warrant and entered the residence.

Once inside, officers located a deceased male and deceased female with apparent gunshot wounds. The male’s wound was self-inflicted. It is believed the man and woman were married.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Person killed in crash on I30 west of downtown Dallas

Multiple Dallas Fire-Rescue and Dallas County Sheriffs Deputies responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash with injuries on westbound I30 near Fort Worth Ave earlier today.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office reports one person was transported to Methodist central in critical condition. He was pronounced deceased at 1:12pm.

Witness statements indicate a person was pinned underneath a Chevy Suburban. The person was wearing a yellow jacket and may have been a tow truck / commercial vehicle driver.

All lanes have been reopened at this time.

Firefighters battling fire at apartments in the W. 7th area of Fort Worth

Multiple Fort Worth FD units are on scene of a working apartment fire in the 2900 block of Crockett Street. This is in the W. 7th area of Fort Worth.

This was dispatched to be The Lofts apartments.

Engine 6 was first on scene. A full structure fire response is now on scene or en route. Units include Battalion 2, Battalion 3, Truck 1, Truck 2, Engine 2, Engine 18, Engine 1, Safety 1, Squad 2.

Units are working to attack the fire utilizing standpipe operations.

Update – Firefighters are still actively working to contain the fire. Quint 12, Engine 12, and Engine 16 requested to the scene for assistance.

Update – Fire under control.

UPDATE: Emergency responders recover body of drowning victim at Lake Lewisville

At around 2:00PM this afternoon, firefighters made a recovery of a 32-year-old male who had been unaccounted for in the waters since about 5:30PM yesterday evening.

Lewisville FD was called to the lake around 5:30PM for a reported drowning incident off a party barge near the Pier 121 Marina. An adult male had gone under and did not resurface.

Emergency personnel searched, but did not locate the victim until this afternoon. He has been identified as a 32-year-old male from Burleson.

He was recovered not far from where he was reported missing. It is unknown if the victim was wearing a flotation device.

CareFlite called to crash in Godley (Johnson County)

Godley Fire and Police along with Johnson County EMS have been called to the scene of a major accident in front of the Spring Market on FM 917 / N. Main Street near Godley proper.

A vehicle posted by one of our followers shows at least one vehicle and an 18 wheeler involved. The 18 wheeler has crashed off the roadway in front of the Spring Market.

CareFlite has airlifted one patient to JPS in Fort Worth.

FM 917 is still blocked in this area. It is best to avoid.

Large scale “active threat” scenario to take place tomorrow in Fort Worth

Tomorrow, Monday July 29th, several agencies will conduct a large scale active threat scenario drill at Trimble Tech High School, 1003 W. Cannon Street in Fort Worth. This exercise is meant to evaluate and assess the emergency preparedness plan.

Participants in the exercise include:

Fort Worth Fire Department
Fort Worth Police Department
Fort Worth Office of Emergency Management
City of Fort Worth, PIOs
MedStar EMS
Fort Worth ISD
JPS Hospital
Cook Children’s Hospital
Tarrant County Health

A large aspect of the training exercise will evaluate the effectiveness of victim search and rescue during active threats along with the interoperability between agencies.

Expect some delays and heavy public safety response in this area tomorrow morning.

One dead in overnight rollover crash on I35 in Denton

The Denton Police Department confirms one person died in a major accident early this morning on I35 near Loop 288.

Multiple emergency responders were called to the southbound lanes of I35 near Loop 288, north of the I35 split, around 12:30am. One vehicle had overturned reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed.

Police confirm one person died in this crash.

A witness messaged our page saying moments before the crash, two vehicles were traveling at a high rate of speed. It is not yet known if they were involved in a speeding or road rage incident.

The identity of the victim has not been released pending family notifications.

UPDATE: Three ejected, one killed in Fort Worth crash

Here is a quick update to the major crash me posted last night in North West Fort Worth.

Fort Worth police and fire along with MedStar were called to the scene of a major accident in the 3000 block of Decatur Ave near the railroad tracks.

When emergency responders arrived, they located a vehicle in the ditch and three people ejected from the vehicle. Multiple MedStar ambulances were called to the scene for critical patients.

The victims were transported to the hospital.

Police say one of the victims who was ejected has died. The conditions of the other two are not known.

Additional updates will be released by officials if warranted. The investigation of the crash is still ongoing at this time.
