Motorcyclist critically injured after crash with vehicle in Grapevine

Grapevine Police and Fire/EMS responded to a serious crash involving a motorcycle this morning at around 6:30AM at SH-26 and Mustang.

Police say a motorcycle was traveling eastbound on SH-26 when it impacted a vehicle, driven by a 17-year-old, turning onto Mustang Drive. The teen did not see the motorcycle in the intersection and failed to yield.

The motorcyclist, a 54-year-old male, hit the car, and was ejected from the bike. He was transported to the hospital with critical injuries. Police say the rider was wearing a helmet. The driver of the car was not hurt.

The roadway was closed for about an hour while units investigated and cleared up the scene.
