Slick road potential factor in Cleburne crash that killed one driver

Emergency personnel from the Cleburne police and fire departments responded to a major accident yesterday (Tuesday) morning in the 3900 block FM 4 near County Road 1125.

When police officers made the scene, one of the two vehicles involved was fully engulfed with fire.

Police say a slick roadway may be one of the contributing factors in the crash. An eastbound vehicle impacted a westbound vehicle, causing the eastbound vehicle to catch fire.

The driver of the eastbound vehicle that caught fire was pronounced deceased at the scene. He has been identified as a 69-year-old male from Granbury.

Cleburne PD are investigating the crash.

Man dies after being shot at apartments in north Arlington

The Arlington Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred last night (Tuesday) at an apartment complex in the 2100 block of Hendricks Drive.

When police arrived on scene, they located a man lying in a parking lot with an apparent gunshot wound.

He was transported to a local hospital, but died as a result of his injuries. He has since been identified as a 25-year-old male from Grand Prairie.

Arlington police believe this is not a random event. A homicide investigation is ongoing at this time.

Commercial vehicle suspension spring hits vehicle, kills driver on 75 in Plano

The Plano Police Department is investigating a major accident with fatality that occurred yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon around 2:15PM in the northbound lanes of Highway 75 between 15th St. and Park Blvd.

When emergency responders arrived on the scene, a vehicle was located in the grassy median between the freeway and the service road.

It was determined that a large commercial vehicle suspension spring struck the hood of the vehicle. It then crashed through the windshield, striking the driver.

The driver was transported to the hospital, but died as a result of his injuries. He has been identified as a 57-year-old male from Plano.

Emergency responders working to recover body from Trinity River in Fort Worth

Multiple Fort Worth FD and PD units are working to recover a body from the Trinity River in the area of Randol Mill Road and E. Loop 820 in east Fort Worth.

Units were dispatched just at 1:30PM this afternoon regarding a body in the water behind a shop on the E. Loop 820 service road and Randol Mill.

Crime Scene is on location to document the scene.

There will be heavy police and fire presence in this area.

Update – The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has identified the body as a 26-year-old male from Bedford.

Accident w/ Entrapment (Grapevine)

Multiple Grapevine Fire/EMS and Police are on the scene of a major accident along southbound 121 at the exit for Texan Trail. Extrication is in progress on one trapped person. Firefighters working to cut the roof of the vehicle. Major damage. Requesting two ambulances to the scene. Avoid this area.

Details on Presidential Visit to Fort Worth, Alvarado, and Dallas this week

President Trump and his team will be visiting a few areas around north Texas this week. You are likely to see enhanced police security, police motorcades, and helicopter activity in these areas.

The President will fly into the Naval Air Station JRB this Thursday. There will be a presidential motorcade from NAS JRB into downtown Fort Worth for his first stop. He will be at the City Club in downtown for an event.

After his stop in downtown Fort Worth, the presidential motorcade will travel back to the NAS JRB for a helicopter flight down to Alvarado.

The President will be visiting the Rochambeau Ranch located in the 5500 block of County Road 316 southwest of Alvarado in the afternoon. The ranch is home to Louis Vuitton’s new manufacturing factory for luxury goods.

After his stop at the ranch, the President will be traveling by helicopter up to Dallas Love Field. There he will meet us motorcade to take him to the American Airlines Center for a campaign event. After the campaign event, he will be traveling via motorcade back to Dallas Love Field to leave town.

If you live in the areas mentioned above you can expect heavy police presence and helicopter activity throughout the day on Thursday. There will also be additional motorcades for dignitaries and other important persons to and from airports and the President’s events. It is best to avoid these areas. Please be courteous to motorcades and respect road closures. There will be very heavy police presence at the American Airlines Center on Thursday evening for the President’s campaign event.

Juvenile dies in overnight single-vehicle crash outside of Rio Vista

Multiple emergency responders were called to the scene of a major accident near the intersection of County Road 1102 and County Road 1204 during the overnight hours. Rio Vista FD, Johnson County EMS (AMR), and multiple law enforcement responded to the scene.

Officials say it was a single vehicle crash with two occupants injured. The vehicle was traveling along the roadway, lost control, and crashed into a wooded area. The crash caused the vehicle to roll several times before striking a tree.

One of the occupants, identified as a 14-year-old female, died at the scene. The second occupant (driver), identified as a 43-year-old male, fled from the crash scene, but was later found and transported to the hospital in unknown condition with undisclosed injuries.

We are awaiting additional details from DPS regarding this crash. Once received, we will update this story with the information.

UPDATE: Passenger killed, driver injured in Fort Worth crash

The Fort Worth Police Department has released additional information on the crash we posted last night just after 10:30PM near the 2000 block of West Freeway service road near Summit Ave.

Police say a single vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed struck part of the fixed barrier.

The two occupants, a driver and a passenger, were not wearing seatbelts. The passenger died at the scene. The driver was transported to the hospital in serious, but stable condition.

The department’s DWI Unit worked the Intoxication Manslaughter investigation at the hospital.

UPDATE: 14-year-old dies in go-cart crash near Waxahachie

DPS troopers have released additional information regarding the fatal crash earlier today on Becky Lane just outside the Waxahachie city limits.

Multiple emergency responders were called to the scene in the 200 block of Becky Lane at around 12:56PM today.

A preliminary investigation of the scene reveals a 14-year-old driver of a go-cart was westbound on Becky Lane when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a culvert and went airborne. The vehicle landed on top of the juvenile.

The patient was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Waxahachie were he succumbed to this injuries. DPS says he is a 14-year-old male from Waxahachie.

No other pertinent details have been released at this time.
