UPDATE: One dead, one airlifted from crash in Cleburne

The Cleburne Police Department has released additional details regarding the crash we posted earlier today on FM 4.

According to police, at around 3:40PM this afternoon a pickup traveling eastbound on FM 4 just west of Highway 67 crossed the center yellow lines and struck a westbound vehicle head-on.

The driver of the pickup truck was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle died after being transported to Walls Hospital. She has been identified as a 55-year-old female from Cleburne.

This is the second deadly wreck on this stretch of FM 4 this week. The first, reported on DFW Scanner, occurred on Tuesday morning not far from this scene.

Police investigating serious crash on I35 in Denton

The Denton Police Department is investigating a serious crash involving multiple vehicles in the northbound lanes of I35E near University Drive on the west side of town.

Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash with significant damage reported. At least two vehicles and one commercial truck are involved.

Police have not released details just yet, but reports indicate at least one person has sustained serious, potentially critical, injuries. There were multiple patients reported at the scene.

Only the left lane gets by. This has caused a significant backup on both northbound I35E and I35W just north of the split.

We will update when police released additional details. It is best to avoid this area.

Heavy delays on I20 in Grand Prairie due to wreck involving RV

Crews are working to clean up a major accident along I20 near Great Southwest Parkway in Grand Prairie.

According to police, an RV crashed into the center median and split in half. Luckily, no one sustained any serious injuries. Two people were transported to the hospital as a precaution.

The two left lanes are blocked in each direction, eastbound and westbound, while crews clear up the scene. There are major delays in the area.

UPDATE: Two pedestrians fatally struck in separate highway accidents on I35E in Downtown Dallas

The Dallas Sheriff’s Office is investigating two serious accidents involving pedestrians fatally struck by vehicles.

The first occurred last night at 10:06PM in the northbound lanes of I35E at Continental Ave. Dallas Fire-Rescue and sheriffs responded to the scene and found a woman lying deceased in a lane of travel. Police say a driver was northbound on the highway when he noticed an object in his lane. He did not have enough time to take evasive action, and struck the female. A second vehicle hit the female as well. Detectives believe the deceased is a 52-year-old female.

The second occurred last night about an hour and a half after the previous crash. Emergency personnel were called to the scene of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the southbound lanes of I35E just north of Riverfront Blvd exit ramp. Dallas Fire-Rescue pronounced the victim, believed to be a 52-year-old male, deceased on the scene. Police say he was struck by a vehicle who did not have enough time to take evasive action to avoid hitting him.

There was another fatality accident involving a motorcycle earlier in the afternoon along the eastbound lanes of I30 at Loop 12. Police have released additional information on that crash, stating the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed and making quick lane changes when it crashed into the back of a pickup truck. UPDATE: Three shot, one fatally, in southeast Arlington

The Arlington Police Department has confirmed three (3) people have been shot at a house in southeast Arlington. The incident occurred earlier this afternoon in the 2000 block of Cliffside Drive.

Arlington EMS transported at least two people from the scene. One of the injured, reported to be a teenage male, was in cardiac arrest as a result of his gunshot injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Another person was taken to Medical City Arlington with serious injuries.

The scene is currently being processed at this time. No additional details are available.

Vehicle crashes into school bus on 174 in Burleson; extrication in progress

Burleson Battalion 1, Engine 1, MedStar EMS, and Police are working a major accident northbound Highway 174 near Wicker Hill Road.

One vehicle has crashed into the back of a school bus. Extrication is in progress on the vehicle. FD reports the person is heavily trapped. An air medical helicopter was placed on standby, but disregarded.

Unknown severity of injuries or if bus is occupied. Reported to be a Joshua ISD bus.

Big delays. Avoid the area.

Two dead in two separate crashes on E. Loop 820 in Fort Worth

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating two separate fatal crashes that occurred yesterday, October 16th.

The first crash occurred at around 4:24AM. Fort Worth FD, PD, and MedStar all responded to the northbound lanes of E. Loop 820 at Berry Street. A preliminary investigation of the scene revealed that a driver was traveling the wrong way in the northbound lanes when his vehicle struck an 18-wheeler head-on. The driver of the vehicle, identified as a 51-year-old male, was ejected and died at the scene.

The second crashed occurred late last night in the southbound lanes of E. Loop 820 near the Highway 287 interchange. Emergency responders were called to the scene at around 10:21PM. A vehicle had overturned and struck a bridge support pillar. The vehicle caught fire shortly thereafter. Officers confirm a fatality, but no identity has been released.

Motorcyclist dies after hitting vehicle on I30 in Dallas

The Dallas Sheriff’s Office is investigating a major accident involving a motorcycle and fatality along the eastbound lanes of Interstate 30 near Loop 12.

Police first received a call about a ladder in the lanes of the highway. The driver of a pickup truck returned to the area to retrieve his ladder from the road. A motorcycle traveling along the highway crashed into the pickup, and caught fire.

The motorcyclist was transported to Methodist central hospital, but pronounced deceased. He has been identified as a 41-year-old male.

There are heavy delays on eastbound I30 at Loop 12 due to this crash. Only the right lane gets by. It is best to avoid the area.
