Driver killed in crash while attempting to exit PGBT in Dallas

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatality accident that occurred during the early morning hours of Saturday, May 7.
At approximately 2:37am, DPS Troopers and Dallas Fire Rescue responded to the scene of a two-vehicle crash in the westbound lanes of the President George Bush Turnpike near Midway Road.
Traffic investigators say two vehicles were traveling westbound on the tollway. The driver of one vehicle came to a stop on the roadway, backed up, and turned right across the far right lane (slow lane) to exit Midway Road. As the driver attempted to turn across the tollway and exit, a collision occurred with another vehicle. This collision caused the first vehicle to hit the guardrail and overturn, killing the driver.
The driver has been identified as a 23-year-old female from Dallas. The second driver was not injured.
