One person killed in four-vehicle crash near Denton
One person died in a crash near the Denton and Grayson County line Tuesday evening, DPS says.
At 5:47pm, multiple emergency responders were called to the scene on Highway 377 at Emberson Chapel Road between Tioga and Pilot Point.
Investigators say a passenger vehicle had stopped on southbound Highway 377 to make a left turn onto Emberson Chapel Road. A second vehicle also traveling southbound rear-ended the passenger vehicle, pushing it into two vehicles traveling northbound.
Three people, including the driver of the passenger vehicle, were transported to Medical City Denton with serious injuries. An occupant inside the passenger vehicle was pronounced deceased on the scene by EMS. He has been identified as a 52-year-old male from Pilot Point.
The crash remains under investigation.
