One person killed in three-vehicle crash on I20 in Arlington

At approximately 2:57am Saturday, Arlington officers, Arlington FD and EMS responded to the westbound lanes of I-20 near Center Street for a three-vehicle wreck.
Investigators determined the driver of an SUV rear-ended a passenger vehicle. The impact caused the SUV to hit the concrete median, then roll on its side. A pickup truck was traveling behind the two vehicles and could not avoid the wreck, resulting in the pickup truck hitting the SUV.
The driver of the SUV was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased from his injuries. He was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The drivers of the other vehicles were also transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. Officers learned the driver of the passenger vehicle had multiple outstanding warrants. Once he was cleared by medical staff, he was taken into custody on those warrants.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the driver was a 30-year-old man from Fort Worth.
