Dallas pilot killed after plane crashes near Sherman

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating a single fatality plane crash that occurred this morning north of Dallas.
At 9:02am this morning, a 69-year-old Dallas man took off in his 1969 Piper Twin Comanche from Aero Country Airport in McKinney.
At approximately 9:41am, the aircraft crashed near the 6000 block of Farm to Market Road 697 in Grayson County.
The pilot was the sole occupant. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by a county official.
The FAA and NTSB are leading the investigation.
