Teen shot at Arlington recreation center pool
At around 4:20am this morning, Arlington police responded to a shooting at the Dottie Lynn Recreation Center’s Woodland West Pool, 3200 Norwood Lane.
When officers arrived on scene, they located a teenage girl in the pool area with a gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
Investigators are still working to determine what happened. Police believe a group of teens jumped the fence at the pool, which is closed for the winter season, and at some point while they were gathered there, the girl was shot.
Officers are speaking with the group of teens who were at the pool to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
