UPDATES: Police respond to shooting at Timberview High School

Multiple law enforcement agencies are currently on scene of a reported shooting at Timberview High School in Arlington. The school is located in Arlington, but part of the Mansfield ISD.

At around 9:30am, reports came in of a possible shooter at the school. Multiple emergency responders were called to the scene and confirmed injuries at the school. Four victims have been located.

According to scanner traffic, one suspect, described as a black male wearing a gray sweatshirt, left the scene in a Dodge Charger. There may be a second suspect, but police are working through those details.

Dallas PD’s Air-1 helicopter is circling the scene while police conduct interior sweeps of the school checking for any suspects or victims.

Update 10:15am – Students are being taken to 1110 W. Debbie Lane, the Center for Performing Arts, to connect with parents.

Update 10:24am – A video received from a student inside the building confirms multiple shots were fired during the initial shooting. At least 5 shots heard on the video.

Update 10:30am – State troopers will be shutting down southbound Highway 360 due to excessive foot and vehicle traffic in the area.

Update 11:01am – Victims have been taken to Medical City Arlington.

Update 11:11am – Officers and SWAT are still conducting a secondary search of the school.

Update 11:20am – Arlington PD Asst. Chief Kolbye confirms this originated as a fight between two students. Shots rang out. Four confirmed victims, some are already in surgery. Suspect identified and police working to find him.

Update 1:25pm – The suspect has been taken into custody without incident and charged with multiple counts of Aggravated Assault with a gun, according to APD.
