Here is our watch for the immediate DFW Metroplex. Severe Thunderstorm WATCH issued til 5pm. Graphic from NWS SPC:

TORNADO WATCH for portions of north Texas and all of northeast Texas until 7 p.m. this evening. Storms are forming out west of the Metroplex moving east. These storms are intensifying. When they move through in a few hours, some could be severe. (As you see in the graphic below, the tornado watch includes parts of Collin, Rockwall, and Kaufman counties. R.L. Thornton Westbound just before I35 Stemmons Freeway – Dallas Fire Rescue Truck 4 drove upon a major accident at the listed location. Truck 4 is requesting an ambulance, engine and the Dallas Sheriff’s Department code 3 (lights and siren) to the scene. Injuries are reported. Delays are building in the area.

I35 Southbound at Woodall Rodgers – Dallas Sheriff’s Department deputies and Dallas Fire Rescue are responding to a major accident involving a semi. Units advised the accident was a failure to ID (FLID). The second vehicle took off from the scene. Deputies are attempting to catch up to the vehicle. Right lane and shoulder are blocked. Use caution in the area.

Accident (Grapevine / Irving) Grapevine and Irving PD / FD are on scene of a major accident involving a vehicle over the barrier wall in the 2400 Block of East Bound State Highway 114 at Freeport Parkway. PD reporting two lanes are blocked.

Vehicle vs. Building (Plano) Units are working a vehicle vs. structure at 14th and Plano Parkway. CareFlite air on standby for reported patient entrapment. Info via Collin County Scanner

House Fire (Denton Co, Aubrey) Around 7am – 500 block of N Cherry St, flames visible with smoke coming out the front door. Engine 521 was first on scene with heavy fire showing. Mutual aid was called.

Semi Rollover (Cleburne) Earlier this morning – Cleburne FD worked a major accident at Highway 174 South @ CR 1112 (Old Foamy) Cleburne PD on scene reporting that it is a head on accident involving an 18 wheeler that flipped. CareFlite air was on standby but disregarded due to minor injuries.

4 Alarm Fire (Dallas) 4 alarms called at the reported tire shop fire, 9600 Overlake Drive. Heavy fire on arrival. Lots of smoke too!

3 Alarm Fire (Dallas) Command has now requested 3 alarms in the 9600 block of Overlake Drive on the structure fire, heavy fire on arrival. This is going to be at a 1 story commercial structure.
