Pursuit End (Johnson County)

At 09:19 am today, the Cleburne Police Department received information about a possible disturbance in a vehicle in the 2200 block of N Main. The caller advised a female and a male were in a vehicle and possibly needed help. Once the Cleburne Police Department located the vehicle, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. Officers pursued the vehicle into the county. At FM 2280 and Slayton Road, the fleeing vehicle wrecked into some trees. There were no other vehicles involved in the wreck. The male driver fled on foot. The female passenger was located in the vehicle with minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to a hospital. A Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden deployed his K9 and was able to locate the suspect. He has been identified as Bobby Glen Wimbish, II, a 37 year old male from Cleburne. Wimbish was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Pardon and Parole and has also been charged with Evading Arrest in a Vehicle. The Cleburne Police Department would like to thank the following agencies for their assistance: Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden and K9, Johnson County Constable, Keene PD, and Burleson PD.

Cleburne PD, Johnson County sheriffs, DPS troopers, Keene PD, and Game Warden K-9 are all on scene of a pursuit end near FM 2280 and Slayton Road. Law enforcement was pursuing a vehicle when it wrecked out and the subject fled on foot. Johnson County is on scene utilizing a drone to help search for the suspect. This is all happening near the community of Egan north of Keene. Its best to stay away from this area.

Update – Suspect has just been caught with the help of K9!
