Around 12:45am, units were dispatched to a major accident with ejection in Sanger on I35 near Mile Marker 482. Denton FD responded to the scene since, at the time, Sanger FD was on scene of a possible structure fire at another location. The Medical Examiner confirms two people died at the scene.
Burleson FD and Fort Worth FD are working a residential structure fire in the 1100 block of Clairemont Lane. Possible lightning strike to a two story house.
Frisco Quint 5 is on scene with fire showing from a house in the 11900 block of Hill Creek Trail. Reported lightning strike to a house. Working fire has been declared. Battalion 1 has command.
Roanoke FD, Flower Mound FD, and law enforcement are on scene of a vehicle fire northbound I35W near Highway 114. Expect major delays in this area.
Dallas Fire-Rescue is working an apartment fire in the 12300 block of Abrams Road. Battalion 4 reports heavy fire showing thru the roof and attic of a multi-story apartment building. 2nd alarm response has been requested to the scene.
Engine 8 is on scene with heavy smoke showing from a reported hotel under construction in the 8400 block of Parkwood Blvd at 121. Calling for a 2nd alarm response. Working fire has been declared.
Dallas Fire-Rescue, Duncanville FD, and law enforcement are on scene of a vehicle fire westbound I20 near Spur 408. Requesting HazMat to the scene. Reported to be an 18 wheeler on fire. Rescue 50 is ground transporting a burn patient to Parkland. Avoid this area.
Azle FD, Eagle Mountain EMS, and law enforcement are on scene of a major accident in the 6800 block of Wells Burnett Road and Hanger Cut Off Road, reported to be a large truck vs. vehicle. FD reports severe damage. Possible entrapment. Avoid this area.
This morning shortly before 1:30 am, Garland Police responded to the report of someone shot in the 900 block of East Linda Drive. When officers arrived they found a female in the front yard of her residence suffering from a gunshot wound. The female was transported to Baylor of Dallas where she was later pronounced dead. Homicide Detectives responded to investigate. Detectives believe the victim had just arrived home from work when she was approached by an unknown subject and shot. The victim has been identified as a 20 year old Garland woman. The investigation is early and detectives are trying to determine what lead to this murder.
