Arlington emergency responders working multiple-vehicle crash on I20; person trapped
Arlington firefighters are working to free an occupant from one vehicle involved in a multiple vehicle crash in the main lanes of eastbound I20 just past the Kelly Elliott Road bridge in south Arlington.
Extrication is in progress. Multiple vehicles are damaged. Unknown severity of injuries. Truck 9, Engine 10, Truck 7, Rescue 9, Battalion 2, Arlington PD, and Arlington EMS personnel are all working the scene.
Heavy delays in the eastbound lanes of I20. Only one lane gets back at this time. It is best to find another route if your travels take you through this area.
Update – One occupant has been freed from the collision. Arlington EMS is transporting to MCA.
Update – Two more people are being transported from this scene to MCA; no major injuries.
Update – All lanes open and flowing again. APD confirms no serious injuries.
