Early morning house fire in Celina

This morning just before 4:00am, Celina firefighters were dispatched to a house in the 3000 block of Preston Hills Circle in regard to a fire. It was dispatched that a fire had started in the living room and smoke was visible.

Celina Engine 1 arrived on scene with smoke showing from the house. Engine 1 and units from Prosper and Frisco assisted and contained the fire.

According to Celina FD, the resident credits working and active smoke detectors for alerting of the danger. The smoke alarms enabled the residents to report the fire quickly and evacuate the house with plenty of time, saving the property from significant damage and getting out of the house in time to avoid injury.
