UPDATE: Barricaded person situation continues in Frisco after trooper shot
Multiple law enforcement agencies continue to seek to resolve the situation in the 6800 block of Lebanon Road after a trooper was shot yesterday.
At 2:15pm Friday, a Department of Public Safety trooper was shot and injured during a traffic stop. The officer was transported to the hospital and, according to the latest update, has successfully undergone surgery. The trooper is listed in stable condition.
Frisco officers continue to treat this scene as a possible barricaded person situation. Residents in the area are asked to avoid the scene and stay indoors.
A new update will be published within the next few hours, according to police.
