20-year-old motorcyclist dies after truck & trailer pulls in front of him
The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating the death of a 20-year-old motorcyclist who died last night in a major accident.
Officers and fire/EMS personnel from Grand Prairie responded to the scene at 7:53pm in the 700 block of N. Belt Line Road at Tarrant Road. A truck hauling a travel trailer on southbound Belt Line turned in front of a northbound motorcycle, causing a major crash.
The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital, but was declared deceased.
An investigation revealed the truck and trailer did not yield to the motorcycle, who had the right of way. The driver of the truck was driving without a license and taken into custody. He has been charged with Manslaughter.
