No one shot after Dallas officer discharges firearm at armed suspect

The Dallas Police Department is investigating an officer involved shooting that occurred yesterday (Tuesday) evening near the 7500 block of CF Hawn Freeway in southeast Dallas.
At around 7:54pm, Dallas police officers responded to reports of an armed person inside of a business. When officers arrived, the suspect ran out of the business and barricaded himself under a vehicle. Officers gave commands to the suspect and even deployed a taser, but nothing was successful in getting him to surrender.
The suspect then turned towards the officers with the weapon in his hand. At that time, one of the officers discharged his firearm, but it did not strike the suspect. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the hospital due to a medical condition.
No officers or suspects were hit with gunshots. The suspect remains hospitalized in unknown condition.
