Vehicle fished out of North Richland Hills pond; driver arrested for intoxication
Earlier this morning, North Richland Hills PD and FD were called to a pond in a residential area near the intersection of Bridge Street and Ice House Drive for a submerged vehicle. Emergency responders arrived and observed a popped trunk sticking out of the water.
Firefighters checked the vehicle to ensure no one was inside and then crews were called to assist with fishing it out of the water.
Police officers checked the license plate and located the registered owner, a 36-year-old male, in a North Richland Hills detention center. He was arrested early this morning for public intoxication.
No additional charges are expected to be filed.
