Driver dies in multi-vehicle fire crash on I20 in Dallas

The Dallas County Sheriffs Office and Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to a serious crash with vehicle fire along eastbound I20 near Mountain Creek Parkway last night (Sunday) at around 11:32PM.

When emergency responders arrived on the scene, they located a fiery crash involving a truck and travel tailer and a vehicle. Firefighters put the fire out, and located a deceased person inside the vehicle.

A preliminary investigation of the scene reveals the truck and trailer had stopped on the left shoulder of the freeway due to a mechanical issue. The vehicle impacted the truck and trailer, killing its driver on impact. Police say there were reports that a small vehicle matching the description of the one involved had been speeding prior to the crash.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner will confirm identification, but DSO says they believe the deceased is a 26-year-old white female.

No other details have been released.
