UPDATE: Two people in custody after high speed chase from Euless to Arlington
Euless PD and assisting agencies have taken two people into custody following a lengthy pursuit at high speeds.
According to reports, the pursuit started when a Euless PD squad car was struck by the suspect’s vehicle after the officer responded to an aggravated assault. The vehicle was damaged, but no officers were injured. Officers gave chase.
The pursuit continued westbound over to Loop 820 where it continued southbound for a few miles. The black Dodge vehicle was occupied by two individuals.
After traveling on southbound 820 for a few miles at speeds reported near 100MPH, the suspects u-turned at the 820 and Sun Valley intersection to go back northbound 820. The pursuit continued through the east side of Fort Worth, eventually going eastbound on I30 into Arlington.
The suspects exited off I30 at Cooper Street, went southbound on Cooper Street, reportedly traveling the wrong way at times. Police caught up and the pursuit ended near the intersection of Mitchell Street near Cooper Street in the central Arlington area. Two people have been taken into custody at this time.
