Multiple agencies were dispatched to a major accident early Sunday morning after a caller reported she had been involved in a crash near Granbury, but did not know her exact location.
Emergency responders found the crash in the 7100 block of Old Granbury Road southwest of Cresson. Firefighters extricated the driver of the vehicle (sole occupant).
A medical helicopter was called to the scene and airlifted the driver to the hospital with undisclosed injuries. According to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office, she died at 3:07AM.
The victim has been identified as a 63-year-old female from Cresson.
No additional details have been released regarding the crash.
DPS troopers have released a statement regarding the head-on collision with fatality that occurred in the lanes of I-20 near Hudson Oaks early Sunday morning.
Law enforcement say a 23-year-old male driver was traveling eastbound on I-20 near Mile Marker 415 (Parker County) when his vehicle crossed the center median and into oncoming lanes of traffic. The vehicle then struck a westbound vehicle head-on.
The male driver died at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
It has not yet been determined what caused the vehicle to crash into the oncoming lanes of I-20.
The crash occurred at around 3:30AM Sunday morning.
The Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting call last night at 6:11PM in the 1200 block of N. Masters Drive near Lake June Road.
Police were called to the scene after an altercation broke out between teenagers. Handguns were drawn and a shooting took place.
When officers arrived on the scene, they located a 47-year-old female with multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported by Dallas Fire-Rescue to the hospital, but died as a result of her injuries.

The Dallas Police Department and Fire-Rescue Department responded to a major accident on the northbound Central Expressway service road at the High Five (LBJ / 635) early this morning at 4:00AM.
Police say a vehicle was traveling on the service road when the driver failed to maintain control on the roadway. The vehicle left the roadway and crashed head-on into a bridge support pillar.
The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. A passenger in the vehicle was transported to Presby Dallas, but pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The Mesquite Police Department responded to multiple calls of a possible shooting at the Town East Mall at 5:18PM this evening.
When officers arrived, they were unable to locate any armed suspects or shooting victims. Further investigation revealed that there was a large fight involving 8-10 people involving tossed chairs and trash cans. Police believe these sounds spurred fears of an active shooter inside the mall.
Mall security cameras confirmed no active shooter. No shell casings or gunshot victims were located.
Town East Mall is back open, although some stores have chosen to close.
The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a homicide incident that occurred on Wednesday of this week in the 8600 block of Las Vegas Court.
According to a police report, officers were called to the scene at 6:57PM in regards to a person shot. One person was located and transported to the hospital by MedStar EMS with serious injuries.
Investigators believe the man was shot between two buildings at the apartment complex (Villas del Sol Apartments). A 9-1-1 call was received stating that a male had been shot and ran into one of the apartment units screaming he had been shot.
The victim was rushed to the hospital and into surgery; however, his injuries were too severe and he succumbed on Thursday morning, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The victim has been identified as a 43-year-old man.
The department’s Homicide and Gang units are investigating the murder.
The Arlington Police Department is investigating a person struck by a train that occurred in the 500 block of E. Front Street in downtown Arlington.
Officials say the incident took place last Monday, November 11th; however, the victim died last night as a result of his injuries.
According to police, emergency responders were called to the scene around 1:54AM regarding a person that had been struck by a train. The train operator told police that the man stumbled onto the tracks and into the train.
Paramedics took the man to Medical City Arlington, where he remained until last night.
The victim has been identified as a 65-year-old man from Arlington.
The Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting early this morning around 2:45AM at the Royal Inn hotel, 2030 W. Northwest Highway.
When officers arrived, they located two people with gunshot wounds. One of the victims, now identified as a 39-year-old male, died. The second victim, now identified as a 30-year-old male, was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say two groups were involved in a disturbance that escalated to an armed conflict. Gunshots were fired, and two people were hit.

The Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting at 12121 Abrams Road near L.B.J. Freeway (635) in the Lake Highlands area of northeast Dallas around 12:33PM today.
Investigators say a disturbance between several incidents eventually escalated into a shooting incident. Two people were shot.
One of the victims, identified as a 33-year-old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second victim, a 27-year-old male, was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
No suspects are in custody at this time.
The incident remains under investigation.
The Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting at 2:14PM today in the 8500 block of East R. L. Thornton Freeway near Dolphin Road.
Officers responded to the scene and located a 34-year-old male deceased from a gunshot wound.
Crime Scene and Homicide detectives are investigating the scene at this time. There are no other details.
