Surepoint ER Centers certify 900 people in FREE CPR Training
Surepoint Emergency Centers across the Dallas – Fort Worth Metroplex helped certify 900 people in free CPR training during 2019.
Surepoint ER, an emergency care provider, operates a total of six (6) emergency centers across the DFW area. They offer FREE CPR training in adult, child, and infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation, as well as AED training and choking, for people ages 8 years old and up. The courses are held either on a week night or Saturday morning and usually last two hours. Snacks and a goodie bag are provided. Once the class is completed, each attendee receives a certification card which is good for two years.
“Teaching people to help save lives is our number one goal”, said Sasha Sessums, Republic EMS Regional VP of Business Development and CPR Certified instructor. “Partnering with Surepoint Emergency Centers allows us both to connect with the community to help educate and train them to possibly save a life through CPR. We started offering these FREE classes in 2018 and with Surepoint’s help, have certified 900 people so far! They have been a wonderful partner by providing the training space and assistance.”
Starting in February 2020, Surepoint and Republic will also offer FREE Heartsaver First Aid classes for people ages 8 and older. Each class will cover:
• First Aid Basics: Duties and key steps
• Medical, Injury and Environmental Emergencies
• Preventing Illness and Injury; Legal Questions
The certification is good for two years and at the end of each class, attendees will have a chance to win a complete First Aid Kit to take home.
