Woman killed in crash near Azle

The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a major accident yesterday (Wednesday) morning around 6:00am at the intersection of 13900 block Farm to Market Road 730 and Knob Hill Road / Portwood Road.

Officials say two vehicles, a passenger vehicle and a pickup truck, were involved in a collision. A man was airlifted to Texas Health Harris Hospital in Fort Worth with serious injuries, but is expected to survive. A woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The woman has been identified as a 41-year-old female who lived near the crash scene.

Lanes of FM 730 were closed for approximately 5 hours while Tarrant County sheriffs investigators worked the accident scene.

At this time, no charges have been filed and no arrests have been made.
