Irving man confesses to killing child for “wiping feces on him”
The Irving Police Department is investigating the heinous murder of a 2-year-old little boy this week by a man who reportedly did so because the child wiped feces on him.
At around 9:30am on Tuesday morning, Irving police officers responded to an apartment in the 300 block of Brown Drive and found the child deceased. A preliminary investigation of the residence indicated the death was not an accident.
The suspect, 23-year-old Arturo Santiago Pena-Almanza Jr., was arrested the following day for Abandoning or Endangering a Child.
When officers were speaking to him, the suspect admitted to murdering the body by hitting him several times after the child wiped feces on him.
Upon hearing his confession, detectives upgraded his charge to Capital Murder of a Person under 10 years of age. He is currently in the Dallas County jail.
