The Dallas Police Department is investigating road rage incident that left a 14-year-old male critically injured.

At around 1:09am this morning, a 22-year-old man was driving a pickup truck eastbound on Highway 175 from Interstate 45 when he was cut off by a white pickup truck. The white pickup truck followed him down the freeway and fired a single shot into the passenger side of the truck.

A 14-year-old male sitting in the front right passenger seat was shot. He slipped unconscious shortly thereafter. The driver exited the highway and met paramedics along the service road. Dallas Fire Rescue transported the victim to a local hospital in critical condition.

The suspect vehicle is described as a white Chevy Silverado 2008-2012 model last seen traveling eastbound 175 from the I45 interchange.

The Dallas Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred overnight in the 3000 block of Fort Worth Avenue near Westmoreland Road.

At 1:39am, Dallas Police and Fire Rescue responded to the given location for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Authorities say a vehicle was traveling westbound on Fort Worth Avenue when it struck a pedestrian in the roadway. The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk. The driver fled the scene without rendering aid.

As witnesses were attempting to render aid, a second vehicle hit the pedestrian and also fled the scene. This vehicle has been identified as a red Chevy Cruz.

Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

The Dallas Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Friday evening along Highway 175 near Interstate 20.

At around 5:17pm on Friday, Dallas police were called to the scene of a shooting on the westbound lanes of Highway 175 just before the Interstate 20 interchange. Officers located a driver suffering from a gunshot wound.

Investigators say the driver was traveling on 175 when a second vehicle pulled up and fired at least one shot into the passenger side of the vehicle, striking the victim. After being shot, he came to a stop on the shoulder of the highway. Paramedics transported him to a local hospital, but he did not survive. He has been identified as a 59-year-old man.

The suspect vehicle has been described as a small, grey car.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatality accident that occurred today on Farm to Market Road 51 near County Road 2825 northeast of Decatur.

At around 10:55am, the driver of a passenger vehicle disregarded a no passing zone and attempted to pass a large truck as it climbed a hill. As the vehicle was passing the 18-wheeler, an oncoming pickup truck crested the hill and collided head-on with the passenger vehicle.

One of the occupants inside the passenger vehicle was ejected in the crash and pronounced deceased at the scene. Officials have identified him as a 51-year-old man from Fort Worth. The driver, a 32-year-old woman from Fort Worth, was transported to a local hospital with injuries.

The driver and passenger of the pickup truck, a 75-year-old man and 71-year-old woman, were airlifted to Medical City Denton for treatment of their injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatality accident that occurred today at the intersection of Highway 171 and County Road 310A south of Cleburne.

At 10:15am, multiple emergency responders including Cleburne FD and PD, Johnson County EMS, DPS, and Johnson County sheriffs deputies were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection. Officials say the driver of an SUV failed to yield to the right of way at a stop sign on County Road 310A and entered the highway. A commercial truck broadsided the SUV as it pulled into the lane of traffic.

The driver of the SUV, a 23-year-old woman, and a 5-month-old passenger were pronounced deceased at the scene. The child was restrained in a car seat. A 55-year-old female passenger was transported by air ambulance to JPS with traumatic injuries. A 2-year-old child was transported to Cook Children’s hospital with injuries. This child was also restrained in a car seat.

The driver of the commercial truck was not seriously injured.

The crash remains under investigation.

The Springtown Police Department has released additional details regarding yesterday’s crash that left multiple teenagers seriously hurt.

At around 4:15pm, emergency responders from the Parker County ESD 1, PCHD EMS, Springtown PD, and Parker County Sheriff’s Office were called to the intersection Knob Road and Summerfield Court. They arrived to find two vehicles involved in a collision with major damage.

A preliminary investigation of the crash indicates the 17-year-old driver of an SUV was traveling north on Knob Road at high speeds when he lost control and hit an oncoming pickup truck. The collision caused the SUV to overturn off the roadway. Three of the teenaged passengers were ejected in the crash and sustained serious injuries. They were not wearing seatbelts.

An Air Evac Lifeteam helicopter was called to airlift one of the ejected passengers to a local hospital. The other two ejected passengers were transported by ambulances into Fort Worth. As of Tuesday evening, two of the teenagers remain hospitalized and one has been released.

The 17-year-old driver was transported to a hospital via ground ambulance. His condition has not yet been released. No one in the pickup truck suffered any major injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
