Man attempting to cross Highway 360 on foot struck, killed by vehicle

The Arlington Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred late Sunday evening along the southbound lanes of Highway 360 near Arkansas Lane.

At approximately 11:17pm, Arlington police and paramedics were dispatched to the location after a person was struck by a vehicle. Emergency responders arrived to find an adult man laying in the roadway. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of an SUV told officers she was attempting to merge onto Highway 360 from the service road when suddenly a man ran in front of her vehicle. Immediately following the collision, she pulled to the right shoulder and initiated her emergency hazard lights. She is not facing any charges.

“The department would like to remind the public that pedestrians should never attempt to cross a highway – and that doing so is extremely dangerous for both the pedestrian and highway traffic. Pedestrians should instead use designated sidewalks along overpasses and underpasses if they need to get across a highway,” Arlington PD said in a statement.

The identity of the victim has not been released.

Intoxicated driver hits, kills 6-year-old crossing street in Grand Prairie

The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred Saturday evening.

At around 8:00pm, Grand Prairie Fire/EMS and Police responded to a child struck by a vehicle in the 2700 block of Regency Drive.

Officials say the child was crossing Regency Drive in front of the Budget Suites of America when the collision occurred. The injured child was transported to a local hospital, but pronounced deceased a short time later.

The driver, identified as a 35-year-old man, was determined to be intoxicated at the time of the collision. He was subsequently arrested by Grand Prairie police for Intoxication Manslaughter.

The crash remains under investigation.

Three people shot at Oak Cliff shopping mall

The Dallas Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred just after 1:00pm this afternoon at Big T Plaza, 4515 Village Fair Drive.

Dallas police were called to the scene at 1:17pm regarding a shooting. Officers located three gunshot wound victims, one being deceased at the scene. The other two were transported to area hospitals.

One person has been taken into custody.

Police continue to investigate this homicide. More details will be released when available.

Teenager killed in Parker County crash

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatality accident that occurred Friday evening along Advance Road near Poolville.

At 9:15pm, DPS Troopers and paramedics responded to the scene of a single-vehicle crash near the 5700 block of Advance Road three miles west of Poolville in western Parker County.

Officials say a 16-year-old driver was traveling north on Advance Road when he crested a hill and lost control. The vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree. Investigators believe unsafe speed was a factor in the crash.

The victim has been identified as a resident of Poolville and student at Poolville High School.

Police looking for driver who struck, killed woman in Dalworthington Gardens

The Dalworthington Gardens Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred overnight near the intersection of W. Arkansas Lane and Roosevelt Drive.

At around 12:50am, DWG Department of Public Safety and Arlington EMS responded to reports of a person struck by a vehicle. When emergency responders arrived, they located a woman laying in the roadway. Paramedics pronounced her deceased at the scene.

Investigators believe the driver of a black Lexus SUV struck the woman and fled the scene. Officials say the vehicle should have damage to the front right passenger side and passenger side mirror.

Person found shot dead in vehicle at west Fort Worth Kroger store

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a series of events that led to the discovery of a shooting victim inside a vehicle at a west Fort Worth Kroger.

Just before 6:30pm this evening, Fort Worth police were dispatched to the 3000 block of Las Vegas Trail in reference to individuals firing shots between two vehicles. A short time later, officers were also informed of a gunshot wound victim found inside a vehicle at the Kroger, 9114 Camp Bowie West Blvd.

The individual found shot at the Kroger parking lot was pronounced deceased at the scene. There were no shooting victims located on Las Vegas Trail.

Homicide detectives are currently investigating both scenes.

This incident remains under investigation.
