Juvenile killed in Johnson County crash
On Tuesday, October 10, at around 3:06pm, multiple emergency responders were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on FM 1902 near the Chisholm Trail Parkway.
A preliminary investigation determined an SUV occupied by two juveniles was traveling northbound on FM 1902 and attempted to pass vehicles in a no-passing zone. The SUV collided head-on with a southbound SUV.
One of the juveniles inside the SUV was pronounced deceased at the scene. He has been identified as a 17-year-old from Joshua. The 17-year-old driver, also from Joshua, was transported to a hospital with injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle was transported to a Fort Worth hospital.
DPS is investigating the crash.
