Person shot, killed in parking lot of Forest Hill elementary school

The Forest Hill Police Department is investigating a shooting at David K. Sellars Elementary School.
At around 6:50am, Forest Hill police responded to a shooting and located an adult female in the parking lot. She was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased.
There is no suspect information available at this time.

“The Fort Worth ISD’s top priority is always the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and their families. This morning, a tragic incident occurred in the back parking lot at David K. Sellars Elementary School that resulted in the passing of a beloved staff member.
Our hearts go out to their family during this incredibly difficult time. The staff member was dedicated to serving their campus and had a profound impact on students and the staff.
We want to assure the public that there is no ongoing threat or danger to our school community. Emergency personnel responded swiftly, and we have worked closely with our safety and security team in collaboration with the Forest Hill Police Department to ensure the safety of our campus.
We understand that this situation is emotionally challenging for our students, staff, and families. To provide support, additional counseling staff are available on-site to assist those in need within our school community.
We appreciate the continued support of David K. Sellars Elementary staff, families, and community during this difficult time.
