Intoxicated wrong-way driver causes fatal crash in Duncanville
At around 11:15pm on Thursday evening, Duncanville Fire and Dallas County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a major accident in the southbound lanes of Highway 67 near Main Street.
DSO says a man was driving a stolen vehicle the wrong direction on the highway, while reportedly intoxicated, and caused a severe crash with another vehicle.
The suspect was arrested at the scene and charged with Intoxication Manslaughter. Additional charges are pending. He is being processed at the Dallas County Jail. Authorities say the vehicle was stolen out of Irving.
The vehicle hit by the suspect was occupied by three individuals: one person was pronounced deceased, and two people were transported to area hospitals in stable condition.
Lanes of the highway were closed while DSO investigated the scene.
