Vehicle recovered after overnight car crash into Highland Park lake

Highland Park Dept. of Public Safety personnel are investigating an overnight crash involving a vehicle into a lake.

The accident occurred overnight. A vehicle drove into Exall Lake just south of the Dallas Country Club in Highland Park.

Officials report the driver successfully swam to shore. Grand Prairie’s dive team responded to the scene to help remove the vehicle from the lake.

Burleson Police investigating early morning shooting

At around 4:37am this morning, Burleson Police responded to a shooting in the 100 block of Redhaw Court (NW Renfro and SW Alsbury area).

A Hispanic male had received a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to JPS, condition unknown.

Burleson PD is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident. No information regarding the suspect has been released.

CareFlite airlifting occupant from crash in Kennedale

CareFlite is airlifting an occupant from a reported vehicle vs. tree accident near the 400 block of South New Hope Road in Kennedale. Reports indicate the crash was near the Texas Raceway drag strip.

One vehicle crashed into a tree with major damaged. Kennedale Fire/EMS responded to the scene to extricate the occupant.

CareFite has airlifted one person to JPS. High speed crash with major injuries. Avoid this area.

Grand Prairie firefighters extricate occupant from rollover crash

Grand Prairie police and fire/EMS were dispatched to a major accident just before 7am in the 100 block of E Marshall Drive. Two vehicles had crashed and one was rolled over.

Battalion 1, Truck 1, Engine 1, Engine 3, Medic 1, and Medic 3 all responded. Engine 3 and Truck 1 performed extended extrication on the overturned vehicle.

Once the occupant was freed, they were taken to Methodist Dallas with major injuries. Medic 3 transported the other driver to Medical City Arlington with minor injuries.
