Multiple peopled killed in Ellis County crash
A major accident in Ellis County has claimed the life of Bardwell Police Chief Michael Spurgeon, Sr. and others, according to the Bardwell Volunteer Fire Department.
The post also indicates Michael Spurgeon, Jr., a volunteer firefighter with Bardwell VFD, also died in the crash.
According to reports from the Ennis Daily News, there were three additional fatalities involved in this crash.
Highway 34 between Highway 287 and the town of Bardwell was temporarily shut down for clean up and investigation.
