Garland police say possible road rage led to shooting

Garland Police are investigating a shooting incident near the intersection of Centerville Road and Northwest Highway.

Officers say a possible road rage incident led to a shooting. At least one person has been injured in the incident. Police have not disclosed the extent of injuries at this time.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a black pick up truck that fled on southbound Centerville Road and then eastbound on LBJ towards Mesquite.

Lanes of Centerville Road have been reopened, but Northwest Highway remains closed as police investigate the scene. It is best to avoid the area.
