Four people, including two children, found shot dead at north Dallas motel
The Dallas Police Department is investigating a shooting incident at a motel near the intersection of Keller Springs Road and the Dallas North Tollway.
According to Dallas PD Chief Hall, officers received a 9-1-1 call of a shooting at the motel just after 3PM this afternoon.
Maintenance was reportedly trying to gain access to the room when they heard the shot. They backed away from the room, and notified police.
Emergency personnel made entry into the motel room and located the bodies of four people. Two adults, a 41-year-old male and 31-year-old female, and two children, a male and female, were all deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
Crime scene and homicide investigators are on the scene to collect evidence. Police did not speculate if this was a murder suicide; however, they are working to indicate whether three of the individuals were killed earlier in the day and the fourth individual closer to the time that maintenance came to the door.
Police did confirm that this was the check out day for the room. They say the deceased persons had been at the motel for several days.
Police have not released any additional information at this time. Expect heavy police activity in the area throughout the evening.
