Bicyclist struck, killed by vehicle on Interstate 20 in Fort Worth
The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred on Sunday evening, March 8th, in the lanes of Interstate 20.
Emergency responders were called to the scene along I-20 near McCart Ave in south Fort Worth just before 10PM.
A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner reports the bicyclist, who was dismounted at the time, was a 26-year-old male. He died as a result of decapitation injuries.
It is unknown if the vehicle stopped at the scene.
