Welfare concern leads to discovery of deceased woman in Denton house
The Denton Police Department received a welfare concern check in the 800 block of Cross Timber Street at 5:13PM Friday evening. A woman called police and asked them to check on her mother.
When officers arrived at the house, they located the woman dead. She has been identified by the Medical Examiner as a 65-year-old female. Her cause of death is listed as blunt force injuries to the head.
It is believed the woman had been deceased for several days.
Foul play is suspected at this time. Police are investigating this as a homicide.
No arrests have been made.
