19-year-old found shot in crashed vehicle in River Oaks neighborhood
The River Oaks Police Department has launched a homicide investigation into the shooting death of a 19-year-old man found dead in a crashed vehicle early Saturday morning.
Officers located a vehicle that had crashed in a neighborhood near the 1000 block of Keith Pumphrey Drive just before 1:00AM. The driver, a 19-year-old man, had sustained a gunshot wound.
He was transported to Texas Health Harris Hospital, but pronounced deceased.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner lists his address as just across River Oaks Blvd from where the vehicle was located.
Police are working to identify the circumstances surrounding the crime. A homicide investigation is ongoing at this time.
