UPDATE: Lanes of N. Loop 820 closed in Haltom City due to multi fatality crash
Multiple emergency responders from Haltom City FD and PD along with MedStar EMS are working a serious crash involving two vehicles along eastbound N. Loop 820 near Denton Highway (377).
Reports indicate it was a possible-head on collision between two vehicles. One of the vehicles caught fire after the impact.
Haltom City firefighters are working to knock down the vehicle fire at this time.
MedStar paramedics on scene report multiple fatalities on the scene. CareFlite has also airlifted one critical patient into Fort Worth. Officials say three people have died at the scene. [Medstar originally reported four dead]
There are unconfirmed reports that one of the drivers was traveling the wrong direction on the highway.
All lanes of eastbound N. Loop 820 have now been closed and will likely be closed for several hours following this crash. It is best to avoid the area.
