Motorcyclist weaving in and out of traffic killed in crash on 635 in Dallas

The Dallas Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred this morning in the westbound lanes of LBJ (635) near Midway Road.

Around 7AM this morning, Dallas police officers and fire rescue personnel were called to the scene after a motorcyclist was involved in a crash with other vehicles.

Investigators say the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed and weaving in and out of traffic when he laid down the motorcycle to keep from slamming into the back of a box truck.

After he crashed his motorcycle, a vehicle struck him as he laid in the roadway. This caused the vehicle to swerve and hit another vehicle as well.

Both drivers remained at the scene.

The motorcyclist, who is only being identified as a male at this time, was pronounced deceased by DFR.

Lanes of the highway were closed while police investigated the scene, but have since been reopened.
