UPDATE: Teenager critically injured in Waxahachie crash

This afternoon around 2PM, multiple emergency responders from the Waxahachie police and fire departments along with Ellis County EMS (AMR) all responded to a serious crash on northbound Highway 287 near I35E.

Reports indicate a vehicle was southbound on Highway 287 when, for an undetermined reason, the driver lost control, slid through the center median, and collided head-on with a northbound 18-wheeler.

The driver of the vehicle, who is said to be a teenager, was ejected and seriously hurt in the crash. Bystanders performed CPR while EMS was called to the scene.

The teenage male was transported to a local hospital with major injuries. His condition is serious, according to reports.
