Man critically injured in Fort Worth shooting, airlifted to hospital
The Fort Worth Police Department is currently investigating a shooting incident at a house in the 7700 block of Castillo Road (east Fort Worth – Meadowbrook area).
While specific circumstances are being investigated, officials can confirm at this time that two men were involved in an altercation when one of them pulled out a gun and shot the other. Multiple emergency responders were called to the scene and paramedics subsequently requested launch of a CareFlite helicopter.
CareFlite landed nearby and airlifted the shooting victim to JPS in critical condition.
Fort Worth police have detained one person of interest at this time. Detectives are on the scene.
