Early morning FBI raid startles residents in Arlington neighborhood

An early morning raid at a house in a quiet Arlington neighborhood awoke and startled several residents.

This morning just before 6:00AM, the FBI conducted a search warrant at a house in the 2000 block of Alan A Dale Road at W. Lavender Lane, not far from Hill Elementary School.

Law enforcement used flash bangs to get into the residence. The devices blew a hole in the brick wall near the front door of the house. A Ring doorbell video posted to a neighborhood site indicated the law enforcement agency was looking for a particular individual at the house.

Several bangs and flashes of light came from the house as federal officers conducted the warrant.

“The FBI was lawfully present conducting a law enforcement operation,” said the FBI in a statement. No other details have been released.

The Arlington Police Department was also on scene, but merely to assist with blocking traffic in the area.

The neighborhood site Nextdoor was very active as residents reported hearing multiple gunshots. The FBI insists no shots were fired. The loud noises were from the flash bangs.

The FBI says updates may be published at a later time. We will update this story with any new information.
