18-year-old dies at north Fort Worth emergency center after shooting

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a shooting that took the life of an 18-year-old man.

At around 6:00PM on Sunday evening, multiple emergency responders were called to the Surepoint Emergency Center, 4551 Western Center Blvd near Beach Street, after a gunshot wound victim arrived at their clinic by personal vehicle. The victim had sustained a gunshot wound to the stomach.

According to initial information, it was reported that the man was accidentally shot by a friend. The friend reportedly brought him to the emergency center.

Life-saving efforts were administered at the emergency clinic and by paramedics at the scene, but he was pronounced deceased. He has been identified as an 18-year-old man from Fort Worth.

The department’s homicide unit is currently conducting a follow up investigation to confirm the shooting was accidental in nature.

Two shot, one killed in Denton shooting

The Denton Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place last night (Saturday) where two people were injured – one fatally.

Just before 9:30PM on Saturday, Denton police received a call from a citizen who heard shots in the area of 100 Duchess Drive off Loop 288 in east Denton. Officers immediately responded to the area and found one person shot in the leg.

Police were notified of a second victim who had been taken to a local hospital by private vehicle. That victim was shot in the stomach. Despite medical attention, the victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Officers are investigating the cause and motive of the shooting. The relation between the two victims was not released.

At this time no arrests have been made.

Driver dies after vehicle flips several times in crash along I-20 in Dallas

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatality accident that occurred overnight along eastbound Interstate 20 near Wheatland Road in the south Dallas area.

Just before 3:30AM, Dallas Fire Rescue and DSO deputies were called to the scene after two vehicles were involved in a crash on the highway. Both vehicles sustained major damage in the crash. One of the vehicles overturned several times before coming to rest in a ditch off the highway.

Dallas Fire Rescue personnel located the unresponsive male driver of the overturned vehicle and immediately began life-saving efforts. Paramedics transported him to Methodist Dallas hospital, but he was pronounced deceased.

All lanes of Interstate 20 were closed while emergency responders worked the scene.

Deputies are still investigating the cause of the crash. The identity of the victim has not yet been publicly released.

Motorcyclist dies from injuries sustained in Granbury crash

The Granbury Police Department is investigating a fatality accident involving a motorcycle that originally occurred last Sunday morning, October 18th.

At around 11:15AM last Sunday morning, emergency responders from the Granbury FD and PD along with Texas EMS were dispatched to a crash involving a motorcycle in the 2000 block of East Highway 377 near Eastridge Road, east of Granbury.

EMS arrived within a few minutes and requested launch of the closest medical helicopter. The ambulance met Air Evac Lifeteam 69 at a nearby helipad to transfer the motorcyclist to JPS in Fort Worth.

After a week in the hospital, the motorcyclist died last night at the hospital. He has been identified as a 34-year-old man from Strawn.

The crash is under investigation at this time. No cause has been released.

Bicyclist airlifted to hospital after hit and run crash near Rendon

Early this morning, the Rendon Fire Department, Johnson County EMS (AMR), and multiple law enforcement officers all responded to a bicycle accident in the 8300 block of FM 2738 (Lillian Road) near Retta Mansfield Road.

It was determined that a vehicle had hit a bicyclist and fled the scene. Paramedics requested a CareFlite helicopter to transport the injured bicyclist to a local hospital.

The helicopter airlifted the adult man to JPS with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

Man found shot dead in downtown Dallas parking lot

The Dallas Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a man found in a downtown parking lot.

This morning just before 5:30AM, Dallas police responded to a parking lot in the 300 block of N. Griffin Street after a man was found unresponsive outside a vehicle. Paramedics pronounced him deceased on the scene.

Homicide and crime scene responded to the scene for investigation. At this time, there is no suspect in custody.

The investigation is ongoing.

One person critically injured in Grand Prairie crash

The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating a serious crash that occurred overnight Saturday.

At around 12:45AM, Grand Prairie firefighters and police officers were dispatched to a crash at the intersection of Matthew Road and W. Polo Road. Two vehicles were involved in a crash.

Officials say one person was transported with major injuries. The other driver possibly ran a red light.

The victim remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Five people shot during fight at Fort Worth house party, police say

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred overnight at a house party.

Just after 1:15AM this morning, Fort Worth police officers were called to a house in the 1900 block of Carver Avenue after a shooting was reported. Multiple victims were located at the scene and transported to area hospitals.

Detectives say a fight broke out during a party at the house. During the fight, gunshots were fired, hitting a total of five people at the party, police say. One of those victims was pronounced deceased at the scene. One victim was transported in critical condition. Three others were transported with stable injuries.

Officials have not said whether a suspect is in custody.

Homicide detectives continue to investigate the incident.

UPDATE: Officials say the critically injured person has died at a local hospital. He has been identified as a 21-year-old man. All other injured persons are still receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, or have already released.

3 men shot and killed at Dallas nightclub

The Dallas Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred overnight at a nightclub in northwest Dallas.

At around 2:30AM, gunshots erupted at a nightclub in the 2200 block of Manana Drive, just west of I35E. Multiple police officers and paramedics responded to the scene for multiple victims.

One man was pronounced deceased at the scene. Life-saving efforts were administered on two other victims. They were both transported to a local hospital, but were pronounced deceased.

At this time, no suspect is in custody.

The motive is currently under investigation. No other information has been released due to the ongoing investigation.

One killed after multi-vehicle crash on E. Loop 820 in Fort Worth

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred late last night in the southbound lanes of E. Loop 820 just before the US-287 split.

Around 11:30PM, Fort Worth firefighters and police officers along with MedStar EMS paramedics were called to the scene. Three vehicles were involved, including an overturned pickup truck on its top.

Paramedics pronounced one victim deceased at the scene. There were no other serious injuries.

All southbound lanes of E. Loop 820 were closed while police investigated the crash.
