Rendon woman arrested for murder in shooting death of elderly relative
The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting death of an elderly man on Thursday morning at a house in the Rendon area.
At around 11:00am on Thursday, emergency personnel from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office and Rendon Fire / EMS responded to a house in the 5300 block of Jessica Court after a 9-1-1 call of a shooting. When officers arrived, they located an 81-year-old male inside the house deceased from a gunshot wound.
The 74-year-old female suspect was taken into custody. Officials say she is related to the victim, but did not say how. She has been booked into the Tarrant County jail on a Murder charge.
The crime scene investigation is ongoing at this time.
