Body found in apartment pool believed to be missing autistic boy
The Dallas Police Department is investigating an unfortunate incident involving a young autistic child.
On Friday morning, 8-year-old Keydall Jones was reported missing. He was last seen at an apartment complex in the 13600 block of Montfort Drive. Dallas police issued a Critical Missing Person alert since Keydall was autistic and nonverbal.
Officers and K-9 searched the area throughout the day Friday and into the evening hours, but he was not located.
At around 8:00am today (Saturday), officers discovered a body in the apartment complex swimming pool. Dallas Fire Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.
Although the victim has not yet been identified, those close to the situation indicate it is the missing boy. Positive identification will be released by officials when confirmed.
