Man drowns at Grapevine Lake
At around 7:30pm this evening, multiple emergency responders from Grapevine Fire/EMS and Police all responded to a drowning at Grapevine Lake in the area of Minnow Loop and Oak Grove South.
A 33-year-old man was swimming with family and went underwater for approximately 10 minutes. He was not wearing a life jacket, according to firefighters.
He was pulled from the water with CPR in progress.
Paramedics transported him to a local hospital, but he was pronounced deceased.
“Please wear a life jacket when swimming in any open body of water,” said the Grapevine Fire Department in a statement.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife will be investigating the incident. Further updates will be provided when a statement is released.
